The real essence of strength is in resilience ~ Ralph Marston

Resilience starts with your own sense of attitude. It is how you react, recover and respond from situations ~ Jeffrey Gitomer

Resilience is the ability to work with adversity in such a way that one comes through it unharmed or even better for the experience. Resilience means facing life’s difficulties with courage and patience – refusing to give up. It is the quality of character that allows a person or group of people to rebound from misfortune, hardships and traumas.

Resilience is rooted in tenacity of spirit – a determination to embrace all that makes life worth living even in the face of overwhelming odds. When we have a clear sense of identity and purpose, we are more resilient, because we can hold fast to our vision of a better future.

Much of our resilience comes from community – from the relationships that allow us to lean on each other for support when we need it ~ Wisdom Commons

Tonight we need each of you!

It was an extremely difficult day. Please send us positive energy, prayers or whatever means you connect with the universe.

Corey is refusing to participate in her therapy. I actually thought Natalie was going to talk to us about discharging Corey from the Out Patient program. I am contacting several Neuro Psychologists for counsel.

When we returned home, the decision letter from Keystone Mercy was waiting for us. The denial was upheld for our request for skilled nursing. We will now go on to the Level 2 appeal.

I sit here stripped from the battles of the day. I once read ‘you can be knocked down 99 times but you will never be counted out if you make the effort to get up the 100th time’.

Resilience ~ the only word that consumes my thoughts; pounding in my head like a heartbeat; tonight’s mantra

The essence of resilience in the face of ongoing threats is keeping them in perspective

Thomas Edison ~ I haven’t failed, I just found 10,000 ways it didn’t work.

Resilience ~ stamina, staying power, steadfastness, steadiness, strength, toughness, vigor

Tomorrow, we’ll get up and do it again, xoxo
