Tonight I was reminded to appreciate the little things. How many times did the day get away from me and I lost sight of what was most important; health, family and friends.
A friend of mine lost her only sister this weekend. Our memory is our most valuable photo album. Looking at her picture in my minds eye I see a beautiful woman with the brightest eyes and a welcoming smile.
Every day is filled with reasons to be thankful. We can be thankful for our blessings, for our problems, for things we know, for things we’ve yet to learn and for everything in between.
It’s easy to miss life’s simple moments as we wait for the big events we’re always hoping to achieve. It’s not an easy task to stay in the moment or the day and be present with the people we should value most.
We’ve all heard the cliché; Life is not a dress rehearsal; start living it. We are very fortunate to still have Corey with us. She received a second chance at life and we are privileged to be apart of her new beginning.
Being present and aware of the simple gifts, the time spent with the people we love and who love us requires daily practice. So challenge yourself to be truly thankful for all that is around you, for all that is in you and for all that happens to you and through you, xoxo
